Makes 4 lava cakes.

Ingredients

  • 15 gms all purpose

  • 30 gms powdered sugar

  • 80 gms dark chocolate (semi-sweetened)

  • 1 egg

  • 1 egg yolk

  • Pinch of salt

  • 60 gms unsalted butter

Directions

  • Grease 4 muffin molds with butter and dust with flour. Set aside to be used later. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
  • Melt the dark chocolate and butter in the microwave for 2-3 minutes stirring every 20 seconds until smooth and combined.
  • Add in the egg and egg yolk into the melted chocolate and butter mixture and whisk well.
  • Lastly, fold in the flour, sugar and salt until combined.
  • Spoon into the muffin molds and bake for 6 minutes. The cake should be cooked on the outside but soft and may sink slightly in the middle. Let it cool completely.
  • Cut the cake and watch the molten chocolate ooze out. Enjoy!
