The first time I had a cereal milk based dessert was at @crumbsanddoilies, so so good and decided I had to buy the book by @cupcakejemma and give this recipe a go.

A cereal milk cake with cereal milk buttercream (added some horlicks powder for extra malted flavour) and topped off with some seriously addictive malty cornflakes.

20-MINUTE CHILLI OIL NOODLES 🍜

This noodle recipe is perfect for when you have no vegetables and still want to whip out a tasty and quick meal.

The sauce of these noodles took me back to my fav noodle dish - Din Tai Fung's Dan Dan Noodles. It tastes so similar, I think I might have just cracked their recipe, or at least a very close second 🫣

Triple Layered Chocolate Deliciousness = CHOCOLATE CHEESECAKE 🍫

Set on an oreo crumb and topped off with the most luscious chocolate ganache. This is baked without a water bath, takes half the time of a regular cheesecake and is still so good and moreish.

Basque Cheesecakes have a special place in my heart but this one comes a close second. It's smooth, creamy, dense and has a beautiful crunch from the crumb. A real chocolate textural mouthful.

For this shot, I wanted to create a backdrop that resonates with whiskey. My search for a woody, earthy with warm tones took me on a hunt around my apartment where I spent a good hour hacking away at fallen areca palms.

My first try with lighting glass bottles. I spent a good couple of hours until I finally cracked it

LIGHTING TIP💡 - When lighting whiskey bottles, place a gold metallic sheet cut in the silhouette of the bottle behind the bottle. It works wonders! Swipe to see the bottle without the gold sheet to see the difference.

Bread baking has not been my forte, I've always en

Bread baking has not been my forte, I've always enjoyed making pastries more (probably because of the many many failed bread baking attempts!!)

However, during my time at a restaurant I was working in, I got more comfortable with it. Kneading, weighing, proofing, shaping and scoring became my new daily normal. Every morning, I was the first to enter the kitchen. I'd switch on the ovens, wear my chef white's and a fresh apron and get started by weighing for the day's breads. I insisted with the Chef to teach me everything from a simple soft roll to a sourdough because I realised it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to be working at a professional kitchen and wanted to make the most out of it. (also probably tested his patience 😜)

I'd occasionally allow myself to enjoy a hot brioche roll with some salted butter, busy inhaling it in behind the oven. I enjoyed my time at the restaurant and more than anything, I looked forward to baking bread. Every time we had a new list of breads to make, I'd make sure I would try my hand at every one of them.

This only goes to say - practice what's not your strong suit at until it becomes second nature to you ✨

At every workplace of mine, it's safe to say that many evening breaks have been made to the roadside momo stalls nearby. Dumplings are one of my top foods at any given moment. Be it dim sums or momos, I'm confident I can belt a fair few of these, especially when dunked in chilli oil or spicy chutney.

SUNDAY SCOOP🍦

Making ice cream from scratch was definitely not a part of my wheelhouse. It would come out icy & crystallized every single time. A friend of mine then gifted me an ice cream machine for my birthday and things have gotten so so much better. Without any emulsifiers and stabilizers, my first try came out creamy and smooth.

The first flavour was Brown Butter Ice Cream with Pecans and Pretzels topped with Salted Caramel ✨

Can't wait to try more flavours. Time to get churninggg. Have a great sunday y'all

For my birthday this year, I had some friends over and put together this Aloo Tuk Chaat Platter which came together in no time. Also, please consider storing chilli garlic chutney and tamarind chutney jars in the fridge - v.v.useful.

Chaat is hands down one of my favourite things to eat - the sweet, salty, spicy, tangy and crunchy bits make for such a flavour packed bite! I have a newfound love for Kala Namak (black salt) btw 🤌
