1 tbsp milk powder
2 tbsp powdered sugar
1/2 cup whole milk (lukewarm)
1 egg
1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 tsp salt
Directions
- For the starter, add in the flour, water and milk in a saucepan. Whisk constantly on low heat until thick and smooth. Set aside to be used later.
- In a small bowl, add the lukewarm milk along with the yeast and sugar. Stir until the yeast has fully dissolved.
- Add in the egg and melted butter into the yeast mixture along with the starter. Whisk well until combined.
- In a large bowl, add in the flour, milk powder and salt. Whisk well. Make a well in the middle of the bowl and gradually add in the wet ingredients.

- Form into a ball and place in a greased bowl (with a tsp of oil). Cover with plastic film and let it rise for 1 and a half hours to double in size.
- Divide the dough into 9 equal portions and form into a ball. Place them in a greased 9-inch baking pan. Cover loosely with plastic film and set aside to rise for 50 minutes to rise.
- Preheat oven to 160°C. Bake for 20-25 mins or until the top is golden brown. Let it cool and serve warm. Enjoy!
